Just a quickie............

Ok first of all get your minds out of the gutter ladies. Man have we been busy at the store, the backroom sale is going well, today is the last day so come and get your goodies while you can. There are a lot more things we are working on you are going to want to keep a look out for, we are still doing the Altered Bra contest you have until after the 4th of July weekend to get those in, they are starting to come in and we are excited about it. Starting in July the Crafters Home store (that's us) are giving away a trip to Disney, is that great or what!!!!!!!!! We are also coming out with a one time limited edition die for your revolution this fall, are we a cool store or what, they will go fast. So please look for more info on these in the near future, now I need to get ready for work and the sale. One more thing and this one is a biggy we are having our annual Scrap Pink 3 day crop the first weekend in October so you can sign up for one day two or all three don't forget this is also when we do our silent auction you don't want to miss that all proceeds go to breast cancer research.

Until next time.

Test, test........

Ok let's try this posting thing again, I have tried posting twice since the party and blogger wouldn't let me, but I'll do that some other time right now I dn't have time. I need to let you know what is going on at the store, A LOT!!!!!!!! I really don't think Cass ever sleeps.

This weekend we are having our Backroom sales yolu don't want to miss this, there is a lot of stuff there some new some old, but all priced to go. Think of a garage sale, hey if you have Christmas projects to do this is the time to get some great bases and get started on them (hey I might have to do that myself). Another good think is if you love to alter stuff th submit or for DTs this is the place to find stuff we have stuff like chipboard books for .25 cents how can you go wrong with that.

The other thing and don't forget it's a doozy all printed paper today and tomorrow is 28% off, not even the zone beats that and you don't have to spend the gas to go out there it's win, win. The new Basic Grey is in and out on the floor and the new Yellow Bicycle both are beautiful. And don't forget to wish Mike happy birthday the sale is in honor of his birthday the 28th.

Well i guess I better get into work and price more stuff. I do want to thank all the people that have congratulated me on being on off the winners in the G45 contest, Thank you. I can't wait to see their new line.

I promise to get some pictures of the party up, it was a blast.

Until next time.

Men don't think..........

Ok let me start this post by saying I love my husband more today than I did when we started dating some 20 years ago. (wow 20 years makes me sound old). I just think that sometimes he does things before even giving it a first thought, heaven forbid actually stopping and thinking before he does something. As you know he bought a cow about a month ago, well it is time for Bessie to come to the house a month early, and she was a big cow 860 lb. hanging weight. So Jon went out and bought a freezer, once again without me, and it was delivered today and if we want to get it in the basement, well lets just say I'm NOT going to remove part of a wall. You guessed it he didn't measure anything before he bought a freezer, the thought never even crossed his mind. I must say there is never a dull moment in this house.

So proud I couldn't cry.

While everyone was crying around me as Drew grabbed that deploma, they looked at me like I was heartless because I wasn't crying, not a tear. I don't think you could wipe the smile off me face, but not one drop. I just told them I was too proud of him right now I couldn't cry, you also couldn't wipe the grin off of his face.

Here are a few pictures fro the night, I wan to post all 300+ but that won't happen, so enjoy these.

Now on a sad note it seems that our newest member to our family has died..........Bessie from a few post down is no longer with us, well I guess she will be as soon as we get a freezer, guess I need to be cleaning out the basement.

Sorry........

I know it has been a while and some of you have been waiting very patiently for pictures and some not so much, well here are some. They both looked wonderful, I just hope she was taped into the dress, but I don't think so, not only was it very low cut but it was also backless. :0

Now he graduates tomorrow and once again I will cry, a lot. So more pictures will be coming.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I'm a wimp, I have been lazy and haven't really done any yard work for over a year. I know I have been known as "that house" on our street. Last year we decided to do inside stuff not outside stuff, so I guess we did nothing. So yesterday I decided I didn't want to be "that house" but have had no luck with flowers the past few years due to a clay ground. So our flower beds are now rock gardens, yes I think I can grow rocks. There should be no weeds to worry about, I hope I put enough weed block down and mulch. My Japenese Maple now looks once again like a tree, no more blob that scraps along side my car as I pull into the garage, the roses have all been trimed, befroe they reached the second floor windows again, and the vegetable garden has been tilled and sodded. It got to the point were all I was growing there were weeds too. Hopefully the neighbors will start talking to me again. Right now I'm so sore from all the physical labor that I can't move, I have used muscles I didn't know I had.

What else did I do this weekend????? Went to dinner with the in-laws before they move up north. Drew has had his last day of High School, this makes me sad and proud, he is now a man.
He has graduation rehersal tomorrow morning and Prom tomorrow night, his tux came in early and was not the right size, doh!! Jon says I'm going to cry when I see him in it, he's probably right. Don't get me wrong I love the young man Drew has become but I miss the little boy that couldn'twait to get Hungery, hungery hippos for Christmas.

New day...New adventure.....

Well let me start of by saying that "Bessie" is a live cow that is living on a farm not too far from here, she will at one point make it into my freezer, but first I need to go out and buy one to put her in, a big one. And to answer Susan's question- because he can, other than that I have no idea.

I did get the Tattered Angels sample done yesterday after all the cowmotion. Now I believe we only have 11 spots for this class and a lot of interest so please reserve your spot early. You will learn different techniques and have lots of fun. It will be a messy class so please wear old clothes.
If interested please call the store. www.papertales.com

Holly Cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok at what point do you talk to your better half about purchases?????? Jon and I do usally talk about such things, but lately not so much. I've been buying scrapping stuff, tools etc. and he's been buying guns, yes he's into fishing and shooting, nice inexpensive hobbies right ;) LOL!!!! Well he called me today that he bought something else, all I can say is moooooo. That's right no one can say "don't have a cow" to me because apparently I am a proud owner of one, yes that is right I have a cow. Now how many of you can say that?!?!? I'm afraid of what he might buy next week, although I do like bacon.

What a beautiful weekend!!!!!!!

The weather was great this holiday weekend, I hope you guys got out and enjoyed it like we did. Saturday Jon and I went shopping, he wanted a few shirts (not needed) and can we say we did our best to help the economy, I think he got 11 shirts and got rid of 2. We had fun, and yes I REALLY needed those new shoes ;) hey they have bling on them. Then we spent Sunday at a BBQ had a great time making new friends and spending time with old ones.

Well I didn't get all my samples done like I wanted but it was just too nice yesterday, and too hot in my craft room, so Cass I'm sorry but I was melting up there. But today is another day and it's not 85 degrees outside so it's not 90 in my room. But all the cards are done and will be at the store today, there are still a few spots and I'm sure we can always make room just give us a call http://www.papertales.com/

Well I hope everyone enjoys their short work week.
Until next time.

We had a teachers meeting today and the ideas were flowing, we have classes on the calendar until September so keep your eyes out for the samples. I also have "Old Detriot" book here are some pictures.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear hubby comes home today, well maybe tonight, his first flight has already been delayed so he might not make his second flight. :( He won't be fishing again for a while. But while he was gone I did get some stuff done, another one of Drew's projects and a couple of class samples The Father's Day Book and Cards for Junes class and the Detroit book I still need to take pictures for that one.

Here's the Father Book, while the front says dad it could really go for any theme.

The Cards are at the store and there are still a few spots left for that class june 18th, the teachers are alternating this class so you get a variety of styles and techniques, we are hoping it proves to be a great learning experience for all.

Here's the second item for Drew's graduation I srill can't believe he is graduating, I'm not sure if it has hit me yet. His party is set all I have to order is the Sumo Wrestling suits, I'll call them this evening, right now his favorite things are the meatballs and the cotton candy machine.

This is very simple to make and we have everything in the store to do it.

Thanks for reading.

One down, too many more to go........

Well graduation is one month from today and I am sooooo NOT ready. I thought that instead of doing one big book I would do many little projects, well one is done, I have three more to do. This one I think is my favorite because Drew thinks it is cool. I still need to sit down and talk to him and get the info to journal on the sheers from Maya Road, but other than that it's done.

Just so you know I will be teaching a simular class at the store http://www.papaertales.com/ call for info I think it's on May 20th, you will be able to pick out your school color and male or female, while it is not just like this one it is simular and we are silver leafing it, it's very cool and there is a sample in the store.

Well I guess I should go find my desk and work on my next project. Until next time.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to take a moment to thank all the wonderful customers that we have at Paper Tales, you guys are awesome!!!!!!!! Unfortunately we did not take a picture of the line outside for Kate (sorry) it was a wonderful day. Colorful cardstock was going like crazy and I'm guessing by how fast the glimmer mist was moving alot of thing will be glitzy, I do want to see what you guys do with it, I don't want it just to be sitting on the shelf. I must say you guys truely made it a special day for us and we appreciate each and everyone of you. I also want to thank Linda Mason for staying the day and helping out with the make and takes she was quite a trooper, and a great friend.

Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it's been a while........

Let's just say in that while I've been very, very busy with lots of personal stuff. Let's just say Lots of trips to the doctor/hospital people sick and a few deaths in the family. I just hope that this week all gets back to normal, whatever that is anymore.

But I have finally gotten my layouts done for the Vintage class on the 17th, and am working on my ATCs. Let me just say that my ATCs are more of a technique style class than a true ATC class, we will be playing with perfect pearls. The albums for the Graduation class came in so the sample for that class should be done shortly, it's a clear acrylic "2008" book.

here are the vintage LOs

For any of these classes or anyother teachers classes pleas call the store www.papertales.com

Fun Times......

I had a wonderful time last night in class, even tho I'm not sure you girls needed me there :( It was fun.

I just wanted to quickly post some of my next classes. April 15th I have a Family Secrets book it's a recipe/story book, and at the end of the month I have Don't Blink based on the song, but the journaling is not pictured below because without it the book could be about anything really. I also have a fun sassy Mother's Day book on the 21 st sorry no sample yet we were waiting for supplies to come in, but that sample is at the top of my list of things to do, my next ATC class is on May 6th and we will be making a carrying case of some sort for them. The next Vintage page class is May 17th.

Here are samples of the Family Secrets and Don't Blink.

So if you're interested in taking a class please call the store and sign up, or drop by there is still new stuff coming in daily.

So NOT ready.........

Where does the time go????? It seem's like just yesterday that I was bringing my bouncing baby boy (great now I'm quoting my mother-in-law) home from the hospital, and now he's 18, a legal adult. We all laughed this morning we Jon threw a suitcase in his room and told him to get the hell out, but I want to cry when I think that if he wanted to he could move out. He is a sweet and responable person/adult (it hurt to type that one), I feel we have done a good job raising him, it's just I want him to be 6 again, and Not just because that would make me 28, but he's a fun person to have around, even though he says he's not a people person.

I love you Drew and Happy 18th Birthday.

What a week.......

I know it's only Thursday, but I have tomorrow off and it feels like we've been working 24/7 at the store to get things done, and yet there is sooooo much more to do. This week started out with no phones, which is nice and quiet but not good for buisness, then we were without computoers for a whole day, talk about not a good thing, no cash register, no putting in the 10 boxes of advantus a.k.a. Heidi Swapp and 2 boxes of K & Co. We wrote sales out by hand and used a calculator. We did manage to get Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Crete Paper, Paper Studio, EK, and more that I can't even remember in the system and on the floor. We are expecting more Maya Road, 7 gypsies, and Die Cuts with a View next week, not to mention a ton of stuff we ordered from Best Creation yesterday. You may have noticed that our website is not as up to date as it normally is, please bare with us our webmaster has had brain surgery this week, but if you go to Cass's blog you can get a link to all the teacher blogs as well as I have a link to all the teachers blogs here but Cathy's and I will add that very soon. We are going to post pictures and dates of our classes on our blogs to help you guys along.

Here's a class I have April 8th it is for Prom of any formal evening out.

I also have a cook book that is red, black and cream. Very nice pictures on one side the recipe on the other, I can't seem to find my picture of in though the class is April 15th.

What's in a name??????

What Laura Means
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life. You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.
