YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear hubby comes home today, well maybe tonight, his first flight has already been delayed so he might not make his second flight. :( He won't be fishing again for a while. But while he was gone I did get some stuff done, another one of Drew's projects and a couple of class samples The Father's Day Book and Cards for Junes class and the Detroit book I still need to take pictures for that one.

Here's the Father Book, while the front says dad it could really go for any theme.

The Cards are at the store and there are still a few spots left for that class june 18th, the teachers are alternating this class so you get a variety of styles and techniques, we are hoping it proves to be a great learning experience for all.

Here's the second item for Drew's graduation I srill can't believe he is graduating, I'm not sure if it has hit me yet. His party is set all I have to order is the Sumo Wrestling suits, I'll call them this evening, right now his favorite things are the meatballs and the cotton candy machine.

This is very simple to make and we have everything in the store to do it.

Thanks for reading.

One down, too many more to go........

Well graduation is one month from today and I am sooooo NOT ready. I thought that instead of doing one big book I would do many little projects, well one is done, I have three more to do. This one I think is my favorite because Drew thinks it is cool. I still need to sit down and talk to him and get the info to journal on the sheers from Maya Road, but other than that it's done.

Just so you know I will be teaching a simular class at the store http://www.papaertales.com/ call for info I think it's on May 20th, you will be able to pick out your school color and male or female, while it is not just like this one it is simular and we are silver leafing it, it's very cool and there is a sample in the store.

Well I guess I should go find my desk and work on my next project. Until next time.

I must say you guys truely made it a special day for us and we appreciate each and everyone of you. I also want to thank Linda Mason for staying the day and helping out with the make and takes she was quite a trooper, and a great friend.

Well it's been a while........

Let's just say in that while I've been very, very busy with lots of personal stuff. Let's just say Lots of trips to the doctor/hospital people sick and a few deaths in the family. I just hope that this week all gets back to normal, whatever that is anymore.

But I have finally gotten my layouts done for the Vintage class on the 17th, and am working on my ATCs. Let me just say that my ATCs are more of a technique style class than a true ATC class, we will be playing with perfect pearls. The albums for the Graduation class came in so the sample for that class should be done shortly, it's a clear acrylic "2008" book.

here are the vintage LOs

For any of these classes or anyother teachers classes pleas call the store www.papertales.com

Fun Times......

I had a wonderful time last night in class, even tho I'm not sure you girls needed me there :( It was fun.

I just wanted to quickly post some of my next classes. April 15th I have a Family Secrets book it's a recipe/story book, and at the end of the month I have Don't Blink based on the song, but the journaling is not pictured below because without it the book could be about anything really. I also have a fun sassy Mother's Day book on the 21 st sorry no sample yet we were waiting for supplies to come in, but that sample is at the top of my list of things to do, my next ATC class is on May 6th and we will be making a carrying case of some sort for them. The next Vintage page class is May 17th.

Here are samples of the Family Secrets and Don't Blink.

So if you're interested in taking a class please call the store and sign up, or drop by there is still new stuff coming in daily.

So NOT ready.........

Where does the time go????? It seem's like just yesterday that I was bringing my bouncing baby boy (great now I'm quoting my mother-in-law) home from the hospital, and now he's 18, a legal adult. We all laughed this morning we Jon threw a suitcase in his room and told him to get the hell out, but I want to cry when I think that if he wanted to he could move out. He is a sweet and responable person/adult (it hurt to type that one), I feel we have done a good job raising him, it's just I want him to be 6 again, and Not just because that would make me 28, but he's a fun person to have around, even though he says he's not a people person.

I love you Drew and Happy 18th Birthday.

What a week.......

I know it's only Thursday, but I have tomorrow off and it feels like we've been working 24/7 at the store to get things done, and yet there is sooooo much more to do. This week started out with no phones, which is nice and quiet but not good for buisness, then we were without computoers for a whole day, talk about not a good thing, no cash register, no putting in the 10 boxes of advantus a.k.a. Heidi Swapp and 2 boxes of K & Co. We wrote sales out by hand and used a calculator. We did manage to get Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Crete Paper, Paper Studio, EK, and more that I can't even remember in the system and on the floor. We are expecting more Maya Road, 7 gypsies, and Die Cuts with a View next week, not to mention a ton of stuff we ordered from Best Creation yesterday. You may have noticed that our website is not as up to date as it normally is, please bare with us our webmaster has had brain surgery this week, but if you go to Cass's blog you can get a link to all the teacher blogs as well as I have a link to all the teachers blogs here but Cathy's and I will add that very soon. We are going to post pictures and dates of our classes on our blogs to help you guys along.

Here's a class I have April 8th it is for Prom of any formal evening out.

I also have a cook book that is red, black and cream. Very nice pictures on one side the recipe on the other, I can't seem to find my picture of in though the class is April 15th.

What's in a name??????

What Laura Means
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life. You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has it really been 17 years that I've been married!?! Seems like just yesterday. I'd like to go back and tell everyone that said we'd never make it a year na-na!!!! Jon and I are sure there was some betting going on on how long we'd make it, people didn't think we should get married, they thought we were getting married just because we had a child already, heck if that was the case we would have gotten married before I had Drew not a year after. We were too young they said, they couldn't believe that we actually loved each other. And I can't imagine loving anyone else the way I love Jon, I can't imagine living without him, and don't want to. We have grown so much together, and learned so much about each other and life together it's been an amazing journey so far and I can't wait to see what the next 50 years bring.

Here's us then and now.

Look how skinny we were. LOL!!!!!

Well as you can see I don't do very well at keeping up with this. I honestly try to but when I think about it I'm not by my computers. There is also the fact that my life really is not all that interesting, nothing has happened since my last blog. I have turned 40 and had a party for that here are a few pictures from that.
I had a great time and was surrounded by family and friends. I am a very luck girl.
Our family has grown I don't know if you know this or not but Drew had babies about two weeks ago. Yup I'm a grandmother, I have 4 little fry. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about baby fish are called fry. We finally caught one of his guppies before they ate them all, we got three, but when I was cleaning the filter a week later I found one alive in there, we call him blinkie, no he doesn't have three eyes but since he lived in there for a week we thought he deserved the name, he doesn't swimm right and he is half the size of the others but he seems to be growing and doing well, and since we already had Sideshow Bob, Bart, Lisa and I did kill Krusty.
See nothing has happened, told youI'm boring, all I have to talk about in my son's fish, sad isn't it.
By the way Yes that is a crown on my head, didn't I look pretty?

In the Spirit

No I'm not posting a late Christmas post. I figured that since the buz about CHA has started I would join in, in the fun. Some of you know I have some friends that own companies in the business, well I don't really remember who started it but someone started teasing, and someone else is being very tight lipped ;) I'll give you a hint they have some very cool sheer ribbon. And I think I might need to start see a cardioligist according to them. Well as those of you who know me know I like to tease, some might say I'm "SASSY" honestly I don't know where they get that from???? I'm too sweet to be sassy, just ask me. Well this post is for Cass, she wants a class sample so I thought i'd get into the CHA spirit and here's your Sneak Peak of my Valentine class.

I hope you like it, now who can tell me what all the items are?????????

Back on Track

Ok it's a new year and a fresh new start so I'm going to try to get back on track. I've kinda lazed around the last half of the year, but I don't think it was all my fault, my health hasn't been the best, but I'm taking care of that and now I want to get going again. I'm starting to feel better ( a little like a pin cushion but better).

Here are some classes I've been working on and I have more in the works and so many ideas in my ind it's scary. (the voices just won't be quiet) :)

here's a peek of a cheater class it's a kit from K & Co. but there are times when a girl just doesn't have that much time, I've added to it, but it is vintage and fun, and I love vintage.

Here's a class I was lucky to do when Paul from Tinkering Ink said he would send me the stuff and even kit the class for me if I would use the Blur line, in which if you know my son Drew you know that's the perfect line for him, so I jumped at the chance. Here's a peek.

Here's a DT project I did for BYOM sometimes it's fun just to play and with this one that's just what I did. It's a mirror with a transpartency of me on it, I really liked how it turned out.

I'm working on a Valentine class and Vintage Monthly page class and many more.

Ok this one's for Brandy.......

This was sent to Cass at the store, and pretty much sums up the world today and is pretty sad if you think about it, but at the same time it made me laugh.

"Holiday Wishes Disclaimer"

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religiouspersuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms: -This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. -It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. -It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

I wish I could just tell someone Merry Christmas, I do say Happy Holidays and just hope that I don't offend anyone, ands if I do then I'm sorry but do they ever think that they are offending me by making me change my life and the way I celebrate, because if I don't say anything people think I'm a bitch, and this season that's how I fell, I just can't seem to find the Christmas spirit in myself, and that makes me sad. I love this time of year I love the look on poeples faces when they open thier gifts, I love shopping guilt free (because it's for other people).

Well you guys asked for it, you wanted to know what was going on.

Sunday, December 16, 2007

Yup, I'm bad at this and I really have nothing to say today, well actually I have plenty to say but nothing anyone really wants to hear.

It snowed pretty good here today, we got offically 6.7 inches in Sterling Heights, school is closed for tomorrow, yeah me. Tim is already on the phone and making plans for his day off. Little does he know I have plans for him too.

I told you it was nothing anyone wanted to hear or read.
